Also search for "hotspot finder," and "WiFi detector" for a device, costing $20 to $30, to find available hotspots (AKA wireless networks). Good luck! The range expander is meant to extend your home wireless network. It is really meant if you have a dead spot somewhere in your house. Otherwise, you may be out of luck for finding networks that are farther away.
