Does a wireless range expander work with an encrypted wireless network?

I have a Motorola wireless router / cable modem, I tried to get a connection. The other computer with a Linksys access point, a weak signal if I have a Linksys Range Expander. Can I encrypt and always the Range Expander?

Yes.
Sure.Why not?
Yes, but you will have to enter the WEP/WPA key into your Range Expander. To do so the Range Expander needs to be connected via Ethernet to your computer.
