Can a wireless router in bridge mode provide internet connectivity?
I have 2 TP-Link WR340G wireless routers. Only one is being used & is connected to my Modem in the basement. On the upper floors there is very low wifi signal and i was wondering if I can use the extra TP-Link router & connect them in bridge mode (the extra router not connected to a modem), will I have internet access?
I’ve read about wireless repeaters and range extenders but since I already have an extra router maybe I could just use that.
thanks for any help

The best way would be to run CAT5 from the basement to an upper floor and run the router there in bridge mode. Wireless bridge mode (repeating) cuts your speed in half, and that’s the good news.
If that’s what you were planning (running cable) go for it. Any wireless router can be connected that way (disable DHCP and connect the cable to a LAN port).
